You want the first link. Because you're getting a nice plasma...you may want to consider the Monster cables, but don't bother if you plan to upgrade to a new 360 w/ an HDMI port

The second link is for the Xbox, not the 360.

Also, make sure to pickup a copy of DVE to calibrate your Pioneer.

ok... I've read alot of "don't lay the box down when taking out the TV, open the end of the box and lift it out the top"

...are the TV's really THAT fragile?

... now I'm afraid it'll be damaged in transit if thats the case...

I read it here in SEVERAL different post... at least 10 different times...

also, anyone ever used an ISF tech? worth it?

what about what they say about 'break-in' times?
They suggest using a break-in DVD and or using certain nonstressfull settings for a period of time (200 hours).
Also... no tickers/huds for that period... ??is it true??

ETA:
Death: my dve disc is on it's way... was told to get an avia DVD (or something to that effect) to better adjust sound that is better for audio than dve (and dve is better for video).

I would lift it straight out...it's not really that heavy.

I've seen ISF calibrated HDTVs, it's worth every penny. You'll never get the most out of a TV w/o an ISF calibration.

Don't worry too much about break in. Just set your HDTV to cinema mode and calibrate it when you have a chance.

Hey Deathwish, any suggestions for a projector which can display basically a 720p image (by chopping off top and bottom) but is 4:3 ratio? A little research says the equivalent image on 4:3 of 720p (I know I don't make much sense) is 1280x960. Or a SXGA+ (more res.).

Reason is, I've got a benQ PB-6110 (specs here: BenQ Projectors: BenQ PB6110 DLP projector) and we set up a screen and stuff for it, and it's 4:3. I've always been slightly dissatisfied, white stuff doesn't show up well (a window you're trying to snipe through while in a dark room, PJ's whites all become one hideous blob. Same effect happens for most of Assasin's creed (bright white background)) Is this because of a bad contrast ratio or poor image processing?

So, is there a major price difference between 720p units and some of the more obscure resolutions I mentioned (less made, bigger price)? How much of a difference would you say when looking at otherwise equal projectors?

Hope you can decipher that jumbled mess. At the very least, the spelling's good.
Oh yeah, found this during my research. Probably gonna be useful for helping out weird people like me: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedi...Standards2.svg

I was thinkin about it...and it sounds like your contrast is up too high. Too high contrast causes white detail to be lost and that seems to be exactly what you're experiencing.

Assuming you haven't calibrated your pj, get a copy of DVE and calibrate it!

Alright, I'll look into that. I used the Halo 3 setup thing that came with the limited edition, is that not the same? Or is it not really what I'm looking for?

I haven't used it so I'm not quite sure.

What's your contrast set at now?
