The Onkyo HT-S600 is dead and has been replaced by the Onkyo HT-S3100. Looks to be pretty much the same but I think the rear speakers are now the same as the fronts instead of lesser

I think I meant the R50 and the R150. Got confused.

Nice! The BIC sub is great. I never really looked into speaker spikes...I imagine it can make a difference but I doubt if it's significant. I thought spikes are mainly for carpet to help keep the sub level.

I picked up the R50s awhile back as per Deathwish's recommendation. They are a nice addition to my bedroom setup. I also picked up a CSR center channel speaker for $100. All and all the total cost for two fronts and a center was around $220. That might be the best $200 bucks I have ever spent; I'm loving them. If you want to see them better, I can take some pictures and post them tomorrow. I would definitely recommend them for the price. I don't think you will find a better deal. Oh yeah, if you order the R50s off of Fry's, order them separate. You save a lot on shipping!
I just picked up the BIC sub from overstock.com yesterday to replace the passive sub that came with my Yamaha HTIB. I'm really looking forward to it. Hopefully they ship it soon. That should hold me over for awhile until I feel the need to replace my surrounds with the R50s and upgrade to better fronts again. That's much further down the road though. Hopefully, the neighbors don't get too pissed about the BIC addition hahaha!
And I was doing research into speaker spikes. I guess they are supposed to help improve sound quality because they lift the speakers off the ground. I don't really know how. It all sounded like a bunch of bullshit to me.

They sold out quick. I'm going to get the R50s if they get more.
These any good?

Yes, the monitor 50s are great speakers, and for $100 each, quite a deal.

I'm glad you've been enjoying them. Do you think you'ld give up your audio or HD first?

I usually look at every thread with a new post. The most I've ever posted in one day was over 100 posts.

Right now it is a tossup. I'll let you know if that changes when the BIC gets here Friday.
