I think this receiver should be added to the list:

Buy the Onkyo TX-SR606 7.1 Home Theater Receiver - Black and other Home audio receivers amplifiers at circuitcity.com

Not out yet, but essentially the same thing as the 605 with four HDMI inputs instead of two.

I would definitely get the Yamaha over the Logitech.

Check out the surround sound suggestions for HTIBs on the first page of this thread and compare the prices. Any of those listed would be great entry-level systems for you.

think that yamaha htib is the one i saw at best buy (not 100% sure), but it said the hdmi did video only on the receiver. might wanna check that, and similar things when you go to pick it up.

And to let you guys know what I finally went with for a sound system...
Yamaha RX-V463 Reveiver
Klipsch Quintet III Speakers
JBL 12" Venue Sub

The receiver looks good. I'm not too fond of the Klipsch Quintet line...I mean it's not bad...but it's not that great. You'ld get a much better sound doing a Polk setup for the same price.

The JBL SUB12 isn't bad per say...especially if you picked one up on sale for $200 or less. Did you consider the BIC H-100?

Do you already have everything? If so, how do you like it?
