HD TV Question?

Getting a flat planel HDTV soon. But I'm very electronic illiterate. If someone could please let me know what specifications I should look at when shooping for a TV. Also, can anyone let me know what they think about the ADVENT L2711A. Can't seem to find any user reviews on it. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
