Xbox 360 on Projector

Hi new to this forum... Been trying to get hold of a Xbox 360 but no luck yet. Gonna throw this question into the mix so you guys can put some light on it for me.
1) I have an Infocus LP250 Projector this will display a SXGA image or XGA not sure which... This takes the resolotion to 1270x780 or what ever it is. In native 4:3.

2) The connection on the back is a SVGA or RGB or 15 PIN VGA.

3) Using the VGA mode will this give me an image near to HD e.g 720i or 720p.

I want the best picture possible.... and am not sure wether to invest in a HD TV Plasma or keep my projector and hopefully be able to run it in 720i or 720p.
