i would say go for the toshiba. its only one inch smaller but it has hdmi inputs. it may not seem like a big deal, but you will need these in the near future and may regret not buying the tv with hdmi.

hey dude I owned that TV for 5 days and it is a good tv with lots of inputs and it works well with the 360. I had one major propblem with it though and it really made me mad because everything else about it was perfect. This propblem was that when playing xbox 360 with the tvs brihgnesdset at a normal level say if the screen was all black then the top of the screen would not appear black but rather gray.
This I found was very annoying when I was playing a game and the screen was dark at the top than it would not appear like it should this was annyoing once I realized it was there and this forced me to turn down the brightness on to a lower setting so the propblem would go away but this created a visibility propblem and then it would be too dark. The reason that this was not mentioned on that review posted above was becasue they did not likely play video games on it so they were not aware of this fault. So if you can overlook this propblem it is a great tv.Id jus thoughtt id get that off my chest. I did not return this tv because of that propblem but because I needed a bigger one. Mew personally Id go with the samsung is this tv is stricly or gaming because of the above metioned propblem with the toshiba tv but for normal hi def watching purposes the toshiba would be my pick

Hey guys, I was looking for a TV in this price range as well and I think you guys just found the one I am getting. Thanks man, the reviews are great and the price is stellar. I will be picking it up by next week and will give a review on this post.

There is no possible way of pugging into the HDMI input. Im am positive of this. The HDMI stands for Hi definition Multimedia interface and the xbox cable cannot plug into it becasue its a square in the back of the tv. It plugs through component. So to answer your question HDMI would not fix the brightness propblem. now if you plan on a buying playstation 3 you might want to go for a tv with HDMI becasue I think I will support it. Someone try and get a pic of a back of a tv with all the different inputs. Ill look for one
