Help needed: DNS Failed problem

I'm trying to set up live and it ain't working.

I've got a alcatel usb modem plugged into my pc, a belkin pre-n router connected to the pc via ethernet, and the network adapter on the 360. The modem is set to ICS, and I can get on the network fine from my laptop.

When setting up xbox live, it always fails at the dns test. I've tried manually inputting the dns server using ipconfig/ all to get the right details, but still fails...any ideas??

Look up "Static IP" on google and find a tutorial that will help you set up a static IP for your router. That will fix it. I'm a linksys man myself, so I cant help you anymore than that.
