Question on digital optical connection to HiDef cable

I just got a optical cable and connected it to the Hi Def cable that came with the Premium package. I noticed that the optical cable does not slot in tightly into the Hi Def cable and can be easily pulled out.

Are any of you experiencing this or do I have a defective HiDef cable. BTW, I am getting sound from my surround system and the optical cable slots in nicely and tightly into my receiver.

I do not have the Hi-Def cable. On my normal one, the cable can be wiggled around a bit but not pulled out easily. I would think yours is messed up.

Nonok. Thanks for the reply. When you say cable can be wiggled, are you refering to the digital optical cable? My problem is with the digital optical cable connected to the toslink "port" found on the Hi Def cable. Seems like the port does not "grip" onto the toslink cable as tightly as it should.
