The format that will win out won't be because one is the more superior, but the one with the best and most movies. Blu ray should have won before Paramount announced they were supporting HD-DVD only because Blockbuster are only stocking Blu-ray rentals. In the days of Betamax and VHS, the one considered more superior was Betamax, but VHS won because it had the most titles and best marketing.
This HD format war is going on far too long. Everyone with a HD ready TV should have started collecting HD movies by now, and making movie studios money, but there doing this stupid war that will hit distributors and retail shops the most when HD downloads win!
