no, it was fine before i played COD4 for the 1st time, then i got back from college after playing it that morning, and it didnt work

A lot. I live in an apartment that has free internet. So sometimes people hook up a router backwards and I'll pull an ip from their router instead of the main switch. Whenever that happens I can't get online.
It's quite common actually...so many people know nothing about networks.

I don't see how a game can mess up your router. When you hard reset it...you should have to redo all the settings. Did you have to? If not, you didn't hard reset it completely

When the interest is working are you connected directly to your modem or to the router?

im not sure, because the modem is connected to the router
but i dont touch anything when it stops working, so its doing its own thing

hmm that didn't really help me. You sure the modem is connected to the Modem port on the router?
