I've never used the Monster one, but I don't see why someone would get it over AVIA/DVE. Another good one you buy online is GetGray.

Might not be professional, but guess what a lot of people have used these discs with great results. Myself included.

DVE, AVIA, Monster

Check AMAZON and search for calibration disc. Should come up.
Using a caliration disc has quite a limit. You can't calibrate the gamma curve which can make a huge difference in PQ and you can't calibrate things like rgb bias and gain.

I fully recommend an ISF calibration

Maybe if you went this route, you could "see" the difference right?

Sorry, I couldn't help it.

Yes, at an absolute minimum, you need to invest in one of these discs and do the best that you can with them. However, the ISF will almost always be superior as they are often going to make calibration settings in the service menu of the TV that you simply cannot make with the straight up user controls. With that said, the ISF calibration is going to cost a whole lot more.

an isf calibration is going to give you the most true to life accurate results.

if you guys want to have bright ass tv's where everything is tinted blue and the white balance is beyond screwed up, then dont get it.

that disc is only going to do so much

if you go to a store to check out the difference, dont just push it aside because its not as bright after the calibration. instead go look at the most expensive plasma in the store (pioneer elite most likely) and look at how similar that looks to any of the isf calibration demo's.

There is a difference between 720p and 1080p. You wont find it by searching for it. You will just notice it. You cant really pin point the difference but its definately there.

That's a placebo effect. Put into your head by advertisements etc.

There is no difference.

Saying there is zero difference is ridiculous lol. Of course there is a difference.
