The CD is also the flashing color pattern. All it does is tries to rapidly change the color of the pixel so it becomes "unstuck". It's not an actual dead pixel, so there's a chance of recovering it.
Hope the explanation helps some . . .

That was said perfectly. I think there is an ISO you can download and burn for free somewhere.
Then play the burned dvd you made and see if it gets the pixel unstuck.

Where the hell did you hear that? First off, it's a "stuck" pixel. Two, selectively fading them would be nearly impossible. The problem is that the pixel is intermittent and needs to be treated.

You don't have to buy one even really. There's a couple solutions.
Easiest solution, IMO, is if it's an LCD just hook up dual displays to your PC if you can. Then, DL the video for fixing PSP stuck pixels or a java applet that has the flashing (search "stuck pixel fixer" in google).
If that's too much work, go to Best Buy and say you bought a TV and it has a stuck pixel and need the pixel fixing disc.
If that doesn't work, DL the stuck pixel video and burn it to a DVD. Zoom so it fills the whole screen and play the disc for a few hours.
All else fails, buy a disc with it on it here for $40.
Still, there's plenty of ways about getting or making your own.
Lastly, if the flashing method doesn't work . . . you MAY want to try the pressure methods . . . though not whole heartedly suggestible.
