Pink screen
When I utilize the xbox or play a disc on the hd-dvd adaptor the picture color is predominately light red (pink). Regular television viewing and regular dvd's do not present this problem. All the component connectors are attached correctly. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated...Thank you.

Your playing HD DVDs on a non HD TV? Wouldnt that be the problem there?

Hmmmmm I dont know bud. Playing DVD movies work fine on the HD DVD player correct? Its only when you put an HD DVD movie in is when this happens?

No. Regular dvd's played in my regular dvd player work fine..regular tv viewing on the television works fine. It is only when a game dvd is played in the xbox or a hd-dvd is played in the xbox hd-dvd adaptor that I have the problem with the pink coloration...in essence it is only a problem with the xbox system

It really sounds like your not plugged in correctly. Make sure you didnt mix the blue with the green.

It could be your componant cables are bad. If your console has HDMI I would try that or try another set of cables. If that doesnt fix your problem then I think it could just be the console itself.

Unfortunately the xbox comes with a proprietary component cable system. Which means I can't just trade out an extra set to do the testing like I could on a regular dvd, tv, etc item. I was thinking that perhaps there was a color adjustment "setup" in the menu of the xbox..But I haven't found it if it's there..

Well you could always borrow a friends cable to test or buy another one from Walmart or Gamestop. It will cost you though.
