VGA cables and Samsung LCD- white haze on screen?

I just hooked up my VGA cables from my 360 to my Samsung LCD to get rid of input lag. The cables do the job but there is a white haze over the screen that isn't there when i use HDMI. Anyone know what i'm talking about or how to fix? thanks.

I have no idea what you're talking about. Take a picture, I've never heard of such a thing

well it's not a thick white haze. it's barely noticeable but it IS noticeable when compared to HDMI. you wouldn't be able to see it in a picture.

hmm...think you can describe it some other way? Are all the colors just lighter?

Is it maybe just that the color doesn't "pop" as much as the color did with the HDMI? Not sure. I use component on my Samsung and the colors are amazing, no haze, no screen lag at all. Mine is plasma though, not sure if that's why there's no screen lag. Deathwish would know.. haha

It sounds like a setting issue. Your brightness is probably up too high and your contrast is probably too high as well. Try the avsforum for settings, but it's best if you simply calibrate it with a copy of DVE

Ive never heard of input lag in my life, this must be some sort of myth.
Why choose to go VGA if you have HDMI? IMO HDMI is far superior than VGA

^^ I hadn't seen it either until I got my Wii. I had to buy the component cables for Wii (it ships with composite video.. what is this, 1990????) in order to get a better response time from my Wii motion-sensing games to my Sammy plasma. Since I got the cables, I haven't had any motion lag issues with teh Wii.

If VGA isn't motion-laggyy, why would HDMI be? The transfer rate in HDMI is more than sufficient, right?

don't know why but HDMI has input lag and VGA doesn't on my LCD. it's all over mlgpro.com and it's what MLG uses.
