All the local broadcast channels are free, including the ones broadcasted in HD. However pretty much everything else is not free although some cable providers do not charge more for HD service if you have Digital Cable.

Through any service you do. I only watch a few shows (mainly on NBC), and between school, ministry, and internet stuff (like X3F), I would be wasting my money getting cable or satellite. Someday though!
NBC-HD here in Kansas City is AMAZING. I love watching THE OFFICE in full 16:9 in HD for FREE! LOL

For sure, I didn't know you were a fan?
Any version of CSI also looks phenomenal in broadcast HD on CBS. You know what looks kinda grainy in broadcast HD? Any version of Law & Order. Do you notice this as well, Deathwish?

I love The Office. I thought the new season was a bit odd as they tried to venture out of the office, but it's still been good. I was surprised they recorded new episodes as many of the actors are also writers and the stupid strike is still going on.
I can't say I was really watch Law & Order, but if I remember from channel surfing I didn't notice it looking grainy. It could very well be the show if the rest of the shows look better.
