It does not actually have a hdmi socket I am using a hdmi to dvi lead
1080p is shown in the display settings but I can not get it to work
I thought I might be doing something wrong
and I can not find any info about this tv
maybe it can not do 1080p

ok...try just using the RGB cables or using the 1080i setting

Look in your manual, it will say. If you don't have one handy, go to Samsung's site and find one online.
