Is it okay to clean lcd screens with water or window cleaner?

Well I wanna clean my tv. But I don't have any money to buy a special lcd screen cleaner.

You don't want to use just regular water because of the mineral deposits and such will leave behind spots.

I make my own cleaner for my LCD screens. 50% distilled water and 50% isopropyl rubbing alcohol. Put into a squirt bottle and it will last for ages.

One thing I googled said alcohol was actually bad to use. Can I use bottled water?

I think distilled water is the kind of water we use in chemistry to clean test tubes its like water without everything in it.

It's just purified water, Purified water - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I get mine at grocery store in the aisle with the water. They sell it in gallon jugs here.
