Care to tell us why you think this way? All display technologies have their place

Do Plasmas still weigh a lot more then LCDs?
Is it OK to place a large plasma on a glass TV stand?

I have seen glass TV stands that say "will hold a 50 pound flat-screen TV", "will hold a 93 pound flat-screen TV", etc... don't know if I'd trust one without knowing what it's weight limit is though...
I love my Pioneer Kuro-5080 50 inch that I got this year... sadly haven't been able to get a blu-ray yet.. but HD programming, xbox, streaming netflix, and my PC look fan-freaking-tastic on it!

Plasmas do weigh more than LCDs. A 42" is less than 100 lbs...so read the specs on your stand.

Certainly didn't want a DLP because I didn't want to deal with the cost of bulbs or the upfront cost on the LED based DLP's.
The performance of my plasma crushes my old LCD. I have absolutely no regrets....other than I wish that I would have gotten the plasma a lot sooner.
My 360 doesn't have HDMI, so I use the component video cables. And I can assure you that it doesn't look like crap.

Yes, I bought the Panasonic DMP-BD35K. It was for a good price and met my needs. I do like it.

I would go with a new LCD myself but with the price you paid for the plasma seems you can't go wrong even if it only lasts a few years. I've heard many a horror story from a Samsung service company warning of the high burn in rate on many models. Here's a test...try playing a game with borders or TV channels with a static image for 24 hours or more, then view a white screen, and tell me if you see perminant marks left behind.
