42" Panasonic plasma guys.

Just picked up a 42" Panny plasma from Circuit City (lol) for 785$ out the door. Anyone calibrate theirs? If so, I need some settings for mine...I got it looking good to the eye, but any help would be appreciated.

pic rawr!

Get a copy of DVE or check c-net for settings. Is that $785 including tax?

Nope, that was 785 out of the door. I don't want to buy a copy of either of those, kinda hoping someone could at least steer me in the right direction. This thing looks ten times better than my LCD

c-net is a website and they have settings of what others used for their TV. Or search for your model on AVS Forum

Welcome to Tweak TV-TweakTV

Is that a good site to follow for simple and basic calibrations? I realize that it's not as good as pro calibrations, but for some improvements, are they legit?

Exactly what I was looking for, I was close by eye, had to adjust a few things. Is there a particular way to break these tvs in? I know not to watch static stuff like espn/etc for a long time......no letterbox films yet.......anything else?

I don't go out of my way for break-ins. I just use the TV and use common sense. Just enjoy it. It should be good to you.
