Best Buy's HDTV Brand..Anyone have one?
Does anyone have any experience with Best Buy's brand of HDTVs called Dynex? I need one for my bedroom and am on a budget but I dont want to buy a complete POS. They have a 32" for 349.99 and I am seriously thinking about getting it to play on with my new 360.
They have a 4 year extended warrenty for under 100 dollars.

Don't need an extended warranty on a flat panel. Dynex is okay, but a Vizio is a better buy.

I went and looked at this TV in the store and for a price of 350 and a 4 year warrenty for 59.99 you cant beat it. It's a steal. Very crisp and bright, sports won't look all that great on it with it being 8ms but this TV is perfect for the average 360 player on a budget. I will be getting one on Thursday and will post my experience with it in case anyone else is thinking of getting this TV.

The 32" Vizio plasma is gone. Whatever remaining stock is going to be sold by now...if you really want to try, go to a Walmart in the middle of nowhere and you may find one there. You could probably just call and ask.
An HDTV looking good in store means little to nothing. Most are way too bright and look completely different after a basic calibration.
Dynex is okay, but they do have a higher rate of failure than other brands. For $350, it's not a bad deal considering a 32" Vizio is $450-500...but buying Dynex is almost the same as buying an off brand which I never recommend.

I completely understand where you are coming from and I appreciate your input, but failure rate is almost irrelevant with a 4 year warrenty for 59.99. I will have graduated by then and should be able to afford a new TV. This will be my first HDTV so I think I will be happy with just about anything after looking at standard def for so long. I rarely watch TV or movies and will just be using it to play with my 360. I would have gotten the Vizio plasma if available but I'm not willing to drive all over the state to get one.
