360 Arcade and Fallout GOTY and hard drives

Just bought the 360 arcade and plan to install FO3, Broken Steel, and Point Lookout.

Questions - will I need to buy a hard drive to install all of the content? The 360 arcade was an impulse buy when I was tight with cash. From what I can tell it only has a 256 MB hard drive and that won't get me even close. Will I even be able to run just FO3, or will that be a problem as well?

If I do need to buy a hard drive - what is my cheapest option? I freaking love Fallout and can't wait to get started. thanks for the advice!

You can play the base game on the Arcade with no hard-drive. But the dlc's will need to be installed on a HD. I too have an Arcade, and was compelled to buy the hard-drive later(when the dlc's started coming out). You should get started on the game and wait for a good payday to pick up the hard-drive. You really don't need to worry about the dlc's until you get to around lvl15 or so. And that is really just a luxury. I played the game thru entirely before any dlc's came out. Was just roaming around the Wastelands at lvl 20 for a good while. But here are a couple things to keep in mind.

You're choices of perks early in the game are not as constrained because you have 10 more levels(dlc add on), so if there are a couple perks you were considering, but thinking, I don't want to waste my last few perks, go ahead and take them the perks added in Broken Steel are somewhat weak.

Operation Anchorage is a good first dlc as it doesn't require a really high level character to complete and the items you gain are some of the most useful in the game.

Pt. Lookout on the otherhand is very long/difficult and is best played after level 20.

Happy hunting

Cheapest Hard drive I think is the 60GB and it runs about $100 new. That's what I have, it holds everything just fine.

Yeah I think I saw that one with some chintzy looking accessories.
I'll take your advice. I have FO3 on PC, but just moved and the PC is a few hundred miles away. I plan to fully explore the game this time instead of rushing through. By then I'll have plenty of cash to buy the hard drive.
