your wandering the waste, and in the background, all you can hear, is the constant buzzing/trilling of crickets?!?!?!?

have you ever seen a cricket in fallout 3????

they are not there!!! what is making that god awful noise?!?!

I've noticed this, too. I've never seen a cricket. I think you mean a Radroach.

As far as I know, roaches don't chirp. Then again who knows what prolonged exposure to roaches could cause. My guess is that the chirping is just to add more of an ambience to the nighttime, making it seem more like it's real.
