Do i have to buy the DLC????

Let me explain...
I am renting this

The two DLC's. I was going to see if i could save the contents on to my HDD & then send the disk back.
Would this work or do i need the disk?
I was going to buy the other two DLC's, but i don't want to pay for these ones.

Nah you'll need the disk for playing them I'm afraid. To be honest why not just rent it and then if you do like it buy a cheap copy and your saved games will still be there. Its a pretty big game so you shouldnt need the DLC untill you've made your decision after renting the game to be honest.

Also a quick hint... SAVE save lots. It does autosave after the change of each major area but its good to save a lot as a few of the achievements are level based and its good to just refer to a previous save and repeat.

Fair enough bud.

The new DLC's are good (not sure about the newest one as I was saving that for tonight). Just finishing up operation anchorage again and then I'm caught up again ready for the newest one.

I have around 9000 M$ points sitting there doing nothing. So i guess i can get them.
I probably wont bother with the Pitt & operation anchorage, as it comes on the disk. I'll just keep the disk until i finish them both.
But i will buy the other two tonight maybe.

Hold on you ment the dlc disk?!?!? I thought you ment the game disk (thought that was a n00bish question for you) The DLC's I dont know about mate I imagine that you can't if your renting them for the obvious reason that they would be running at a loss.

Well you can do it with Rock band etc & you can rent those.....That's why i thought just maybe???

Cant hurt to try it then. There's a game of the year edition on the way soon, for 35 squid it comes with "all dlc's so far" not sure if at time of print that includes point lookout. Either way thats a fucking steal.

Right, just to let you all know. Do NOT buy the Add on disk, or pay for the Add-ons on the marketplace.

I rented the DLC add-on disk, that had "The Pitt" & "Operation anchorage" on it.
And when i put the disk in, it asked me to install them on to my HDD, which i did. Then when i loaded my Fallout 3 game, i received the two messages that gave me the Add-on games. So i'm now playing both add-on games & i have sent the disk back.

Free DLC people!

Man it was really pissing me off buying those DLC's. I love the game, but $59.99 for the game(new) and $10 bucks a pop for the DLC's at xbox live=a damn expensive video game.
