This or Euro 08
I have been a big PES fan for a long time now, but have now been driven beyond the point of trying to enjoy it! My question is, should I buy Fifa or should I wait for Euro? I have played the demo for Euro and was very impressed by it, but is the extra gameplay worth what I will lose out on the longevity of the game?

I love Fifa 08 BUT euro 08 is sooooooooo nice.
I used to be a pro evo fan but the past few games have been shite.
I never buy this filler games from EA (champions league football, world cup etc).
I'd say get this if you dont mind not having a career mode.
get fifa 08 if you like the career mode

Career mode doesn't bother me, I am just concered that Euro will be very short compared to what Fifa is.

Its all about the online play for me. PES2008 really let us down here, but I'll still buy 2009.
I'd say that EURO 2008 will be decent on Live until about August (going by how the rate of interest dropped in the world cup game after the world cup had finished), which leaves a few months until the new FIFA or Pro Evo is released so for long term, I hate to say it but FIFA is probably your best bet.

I'm a FIFA fan here and so I'd recomend it but the UEFA 08 demo was really sweet and so I recomend that also. I say buy FIFA08 (probs get it cheap now?) and see if you like it compared to PES, if you do like it grab UEFA08 as well as that is an even better indication of what 09 will be like.

I have played the demo and was blown away by it, so FIFA 09 is a must for me. More than likely I will end up with both now though!

Not that I have heard, although they are usually around July-September time, roughly the same time as the season starts.
