I believe you can put the TDI engine from the R10 into the R8. I think you can put a TDI in the seat too.

Q7 might be the only production diesel, don't know of any other bar a few of the Le Mans cars.
You can also put that R10 engine in other cars as meatspin said.

the VW Toureg R50 is a diesel. judging by the amount of torque and the rev limiter at 4500 RPM my guess is it's a diesel.
