What is the best house for under 5,000 gold in Oblivion?

I think your best bet is to go to Anvil and talk to a guy named Delwyn (sp?). He'll sell you a big place for 5k, but there is a mission attached. Complete the mission and the house is yours (furnished and all). Otherwise, I think your only option is the shack on the waterfront in the Imperial city. It's 2k, but you have to furnish it. With any house (except Anvil), you end up spending more money furnishing than you do for the house itself.

you shuld download the wizards tower, that shit is awesome... you get your own little gardern and shit.. plus in the house you can create spells and enchant items...

I wouldnt buy a house. i was on level 1 for ages i was like wtf then i slept in a bed for the 1st time n went up2 level 6 lol

oh wow maybe you should learn how to play the game...
do you not notice that when you advance enough major skills it says "you should rest and meditate on what you have learned"
it doesnt matter weather or not u buy a house u can sleep where ever you want

Yea but if you buy a house you can stash your stuff in it if you buy a chest and it wont disappear like it will every where else
