Oblivion - Dark Brotherhood Help PLEASE!!!!

Ok here goes.....I am currently a member of the dark brotherhood and am trying to complete the assassinated man contract. I have done everything but deliver Francois Motierre to the Grey Mare. He will not follow me. Can not get him out of the chapel. I tell him it is safe to follow me and he does not move. I am pulling my hair out over this. Tried boosting his health and waiting till after dark. What am I doing wrong?

hmm weird. have you tried just walking over to the grey mare and seeing if he eventually starts following you? sometimes they are slow to follow. if it comes down to it, you could attack him and then he would chase you. then just block and try talking to him and he should stop attacking.

try actually walking a distance because if there in the same room as u or something they dont move, if you get outside youll find hes following u....hopefully

Thanks for all the suggestions. I have walked to the Grey Mare and back and he still is in the chapel. I may try the attack thing. Just hope a guard doesn't catch me before I get to the Grey Mare.
