Oblivion savegames: screwed up?

Hi everyone. Introducing myself, Claudio, 25, Illinois.

Played for ~27 hours, not one problem, but suddenly new savegames are being added to the bottom of the list instead of on top. Up to save #264 they are in order, but from #265 to #269 (my latest) they are screwed up.

This is, of course, a problem, especially since I am a thief: reloading after a missed pickpocket is routine.

I tried turning on and off, tried using the autosave only, tried overwriting savegame #264 which is on top of the list --nothing worked.

I even thought it might be an overheating problem (my 360 belongs to the bugged first batch), so I let it rest for 12 hours... but it still happens.

Other games present no problems.
Suggestions?

I would go through and manually delete all saves bar your newest three then reboot and try overwriting your save.
IF that fails, you may need to call Microsoft to see what they suggest.

Thank you for the advise. Will try to do so today.

Meanwhile, I've also noticed that I am not levelling as I should: I have had several skill increases, and the bar "Progress to Next Level" is constantly maxed out... yet I do not level up. I'm starting to think something's seriously screwed up here.

for one... do you have all of those 269 saves still there? might be some type of overflow

also have you slept recently? the bar will just keep at full if you dont sleep

if you still dont know whats up you should call the gmae support number

Yes, I did sleep, about three in-game days ago: still did not level up/nothing changed. All save games are still there. I'll try deleting *some* and see what happens. Thank you guys. Will let ya know.

i dont see why you need that many saves... i have about 4 total
