Oblivion Help - Necromancer Lairs
Ok so I need some black soul gems for a mages guild quest which I buggered up, but I cannot find a single dam lair to change the Grand soul gems into black soul gems, could someone please tell me where one is? I searched for it on the net and forums and there isnt a guide.

its cos u cant make them!
That quest has a necromancer in a cave that has the black soul gems that u need to take to arch-mage. To complete that part of the mission.

Evil Ripster: You can, in fact, make black soul gems yourself.
Nercanase182: I think there is one lair south of the road from Skingrad to Kvatch. I know that's not very specific. I think the lairs can be Aeylid Ruins and Forts. You know you've found one if there is an altar somewhere outside or if there are a shitload of necromancers inside and out.

you can make them by putting grand soul gems in the ayelied shrines and hitting the shrine with a soul trap spell (Only works during certain phases of the moon though..)
