Oblivion Lockpicks.

Any easy way of finding these, whenever im on a quest i need a lockpick to open a door or whatever, and sometimes i have like 3 or something and none of them ever open the door

so is there an easy way of doing this?

If you are in the theives guild ( or doing the quest to join it ) you can buy them from the recruiter for 5gold each.

You have to be thrown in jail for something, then they will come to you when you sleep.

at midnight ( or slightly after ) you need to go to / be at the huts in the waterfront. There will be 3 people behind the hut, 1 will ask if you want to join. ( you need to show the note you get from the grey fox.

Here's some very clear instructions:

1.Get thrown in jail

2.Serve your time and sometime after you go to jail,a dark elf will aproach you in the imperial city with a note from the gray fox.

3.Once you get the note,go to the waterfront district at midnight,go to where all the huts are and you'll see a man with a torch.

4.Talk to him and then you are part of the theives guild.

in between 3 and 4 you've got to steal some guys book.

oh i see, yeah it says in my current quests list something about midnight so i might be up to that part.. but also i have these 5 books and idk what to do with them either, this guy said i have to keep reading to find clues or whatever but i cant be bothered to read lol, do i have to do this? or can i just pass that part of the quest another way?

sorry for the double post but this women got the thing before i did, it says i can steal it of her but i cant kill her, i need to steal it to get into the theifs guild.. does anyone know where she actually is? i tried to lock pick the door open which had this item in the first place but out of the 17 lock picks i got not once opened the door, it was always the third fooking pick that broke >_<
