Weird Question...Any suggestions
OK guys here might be the weirded post but here goes. Over the years I have noticed a sensitivity to some games and the movements in them. Mostly in the past is was NASCAR games where I couldn't play with the looking out the window mode or I would get sick to my stomach. Well that was an easy fix, all I had to do was adjust to see part of the car or the whole car and then things were fine. Well I rented COD2 for the 360 and I just can't play it. My stomach gets upset and I get a blistering headache after like 5 minutes. The 1st person shooters I rent do the same. Unless I can see the whole body, I get sick. Anyone else ever have this happen and is there a cure? Just looking for advice before I go to a doctor about it. Thanks

You should buy ghost recon.. I thought you could play that in 3rd person. As well as Oblivion (but that isnt a shooter;-))

I've heard of some people getting this when they play video games. I think it's motion sickness. Not sure if there is something you can do, maybe sit farther away from the TV?

I had the same problem when I first played Turok on the N64 then tried to play Unreal on the PC. I gave up on FPS but a few years ago I picked up CounterStrike and have not stopped playing it since. At first I felt the sickness but since CS gives you breaks between spawns it was not that bad. Eventually I got used to it, in other words take breaks between levels or timeframes to give your eyes chance to adjust. If that does not help then you can try a doctor if you feel you need medical help. GL

shows how much you know about OCD, you brat.
Dude, motion sickness would be my bet as well, and I can understand where you are coming from with feeling dodgy whilst in first-person mode, I have the same trouble. With me, it's that you are looking through someone elses eyes and when you move to look at something on the screen you don't see the body moving and there's a kinda disconnect between what you're seeing on the screen and you. Breaks worked for me, sitting as far away as possible also sounds good, but if you are not feeling bad with any other game I wouldn't be to worried about it - you didn't mention blacking out or lack of sensitivity associated with seizures so I'd discount that.
Oh, and unless your washing your hands every 5 minutes, or making sure that every item in your home is in EXACTLY the same position every morning like a routine, I think we can discount OCD.

my sister has OCD, so i've learnt a lot about it. those aren't the only types of OCD, anyway. OCD can be the cause of certain things making people feel nauseous and dizzy.
