wireless controller problems
Ok so I've already checked my manual, went on the 360 troubleshoot site and still have no idea what is going on. I turn my console on but my controller doesn't automatically come on (vice versa). Once I turn the other one on my 360 loads like it's supposed to but the light on my controller continues flashing for a long period of time. I've tried putting three different sets of batteries in it and it still isn't working. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There is a small white button on the front of the xbox itself. It has the internal sign for a radio signal on it - its a small circle with 'waves/pulses' around it. It underneath the disc slot are.
Press that small white button - the ring of light should start rotating. Now, there is the sme small button on your xbox controller. Its on the back of the controller, near the wire port. Press that button once the xbox ring of lights is rotating. Now the controller lights rotate.
Move them both close together and it will lock into a 'port' i.e. controller slot 1,2,3 or 4 depending on how many controllers you have locked in already. Im guessing you only have one controller in use, therefore the controller will lock into port 2.
I know it was a long post but I thought I'd explain it in detail as its more useful.

There is a little button on the font of the xbox (above the turn on button) youe press that and the little button on the back of the controller next to the battery pack and then it should work!

Ok, I had this problem too, and my dad fixed it by doing the following:
1. Open and remove the battery pack thing on the back.
2. turn it so that the flat part that has the + and - signs is facing you.
3. See the little shiny thing rectangle in the middle next to the spanish or whatever writing?
4. Take a Q-tip (thing you use to clean your ears) dip it in rubbing alcohol, and GENTLY rub the shiny rectangle thing with it.
This worked for me and i really hope that it works for you guys, too.

i had this problem... it was a loose connection between the controller and battery pack!
check for any loose items, try and repair it, then it will be fine!
