Comdemned: Criminal Origins.....help with problem at ast chapter

We have almost finished the game, but when you go upstairs to fight "The Hate" (the one who is creating all the madness) , in the last chapter, there are weapons on the floor (small pipe, plank ect...) and when I walk up to them they say "pick up" and the "a" button appears on screen...but when I press "a" nothing happens. I can't pick the weapons up at all, so I am standing there letting him kill me cause I have no weapon!!!!

Has anyone else experianced this? Is there a trick to it, or is my game messed up?

Any help would be highly appreciated. I am not one to ask for help as I like to finish games by myself, bt I am stumped!

I never had a problem with picking up the weapons at the end of the game, but the first condemned I owned was all messed up had to return it but the second was fine. So could be the game

i know what your problem is, when you goto pull his shoulder blade outif done at wrong time you make your hands bleed, thats why you cant pick up the weapons, so now you have to kick him, press the right thumbstick in, or right one cant remember

Yep this happened to me last night, just keep kicking him over and over and you will then be able to use the dpad, to finish him off... Good luck, by the way enjoy the ending!
