Trade Question - (Fair Trade?)
Hey all!
I have a basically brand new Xbox 360 .. but it has a problem now.. the disk drive is stuck open, will not close.. I could get it repaired.. but I recently had an offer.. A dude around the corner from me at a Shop wants to trade me my Xbox 360 (with disk drive stuck and all) for his Modified Xbox 360.. does this seem sketchy to you? or is it just me? .. Im clueless when it comes to Modified 360's so I thought I'd try to get some advice on here.. but I need to get something soon cause the new GTA 4 comes out soon!!! need a system to work with!! lol.. Is it true I can't go online with a Modded 360?.. anyways..ANY advice on this topic would be much appreciated.

Just get it repaired. Besides modded could mean anything, he could have "modded" the motherboard by pouring water all over it, or have just put a sticker on the top.

Lol I doubt he did that to it, but I understand what your saying..well I'll probably ask him in what way he modified it. I probably will just end up getting it Repaired... but thnx for the reply.

you most likely won't be able to play live if you get the modded 360. i would just get it repaired

I'm probably going to take it in to get it Repaired tommorow, but I saw it as a quick opporunity to get a working 360.. need one soon, the new GTA 4 is comin'!! LOL. but yeah, seems more smart to just get it repaired!.

^^ i would stick with that.. even if you have to wait a couple more days after gta4 you wont be that far behind everyone

Lol @ wont be far behind.... but yeah, Im gonna take it in tommorow and get it repaired.. and hopefully it'll be a quick fix.. so I can catch up! lol

Update on the scenario, I ended up talking to the guy for a bit.. and he's actually gonna mod my system and fix it.. and sell me some games for cheap prices for the Mod... and the way he mods it still works on Live.. he showed me styll.. so everything worked out crisp!! lol..
