Oblivion How many guilds can you be in at the same time?

Im in the theives guild. 3rd rank. Can i join other guilds while being in the theives guild?

you can be in all of them at the same time i am you just cant do missions that kill members of other guilsd or steal from them i read the strategy guide and i dont think there are missionns like that so you should be fine if you want to know how to get into the dark brotherhood i can tell you it is easy

Yes, you can be in as many guilds as you want. I am currently in the thiefs guild, fighters guild, dark brotherhood and mages guild.

the fighters and mages guils are in most of the major towns but the imperial city the brotherhood is reached after killing a civilian and sleeping in a bed and the theives guild is after you steal somthing a person will find you in a major city and hand you a note for a meeting at midnight
