Whic is better Gears of War OR... Gears of War 2?
Im nearly at the end of gears of war (the first one) overall I have mixed feelings about the game.. the game-play is really good the storyline is pretty shit IMO.. is Gears of War 2 any better story and game-play wise? as Im nearly at the end of the first one Ive been thinking about getting the 2nd but I dont know maybe I should get Halo 3 instead....

Gears of War 2 is exactly the same as the first. Just more of the same.
If you don't have COD 5 World at War, I recommend you get that so you can play nazi zombies. That's the most fun online gameplay. The second most fun thing was rocket races in Halo 3. I used to play all the halo games a lot but now I just play nazi zombies and a little bit of regular COD5 multiplayer.

Many people would say that Gears 2 is worse because of the online.

Just finished the game about 10 mins ago, yeah the gameplay is really good storyline sucks... and to think I was one of those people who said storyline doesnt matter after playing this Ive changed my mind. With a better story this game could have been a 9/10 for me I give it a 7 maybe 7.5

Wtf, who plays Gears for the campaign?
Go play multiplayer. And for Multiplayer, Gears 1>Gears 2.
Not even, Anything>Gears 2.

The storyline from Gears 2 follows on from 1, with Dom looking for his wife, Maria. As for gameplay, Gears 1and 2 campaign play is pretty similar, but the online is different. Personally the thing I love best about Gears 2 is Horde, which is new to Gears 2. Getting together with up to 4 other mates and facing wave after wave of Locust has never been so much fun. So much so that I play almost every night!
I enjoy CoD, and Halo3 but with the add on multiplayer map pack, and the addition of Horde, I still think Gears 2 is as much fun to play now as it was when I bought it a year or so ago. If you're in any doubt - rent it - I'll be surprised if you don't enjoy it.
