Well...it deosnt matter anymore.

Those who think its hyped and those who think it will suck...they are both right for all i care now.

I have made a promise to myself today that i will never play gears of war agian.

Why wouldn't you play gears anymore? Just play it to keep wetting your appetite. Also, Gears 2 will NO way on earth be Game of the Year. First of all GTA4 has about 40 hours of solid, excellent single-player. Then, it has a excellent online. That's more than what Gears2 can boast. It's campaign will probably suck like the first one's and the multiplayer won't make it better than gta4. Also, I would argue that there are games on ps3 this year that'll be much better than gears 2 (which imo is just a graphics whore's dream come true and nothing else).

in my eyes. GOW2 is way more precious than GTA 4.

not that i dont like GTA, its just that shooters appeal to mme more than open wolrd games. thats all.

and whoever says ps3 is the console to own for this year, think again, because gow2 is more than a good reason to think that the 360 will be better of a console for this year. thats how i feel about gow2. just my opinionnn.

the reviews are overhyping the game. thats not good

the reviews made it look liek GTA is such a gorgeous game.
turns out its not all that. its decent tho. especially after considering its a open world game. i really dont expect gears graphics with this game.

but i did want to see a better looking game.....

Have u read anything about what they plan on doing with the Gears 2 story mode, it wont be anything like the first one. This time there will be a lot more time invested into it so you get the character development, story development, background information and some kick-ass gameplay.

And for online, Gears 2 will probably take over the online shooter category putting Halo and CoD in the dark. The only reason I would see GTA getting having any chance over Gears when it comes to game of the year would be that it is on multiple platforms, but even that I really dont think will give it an edge.

When comparing them as just video games, not taking into account they are different genres, Gears will no doubt be a better game.

Completely agree, with all of the sick Xbox only game coming out in 2008 (Gears2, Fable2, Ninja Gaiden2 and Too Human to just name a few) that the 360 will not have a problem topping the PS3 this year
