I mean, i've seen bigger improvements in graphics on other sequels, Halo CE to Halo 2 for example

I understand what you're saying, but there was alot of room for improvement for Halo 1. Gears of war, now 18 monthes after its release, still is viewed by many as the game with the best graphics on the xbox 360. So obviously there wont be a huge overhaul (quite frankly theres no need for one), but some improvements seen in the GDC tech demo will be present. Also keep in mind this is a 3 minute clip from 1 part of the game that is going to be finished in 6 months.

Yeh, I see what you mean static, and it's probably gonna be awesome anyways so it doesn't really matter if the visual improvements are only minor. I suppose the main improvements will be that it will be far more cinematic, and, I imagine it will look awesome in HD

You know maybe he's talking about things other than just graphics. First of all, the lack of color might make him have less appeal of the grahpics than others, second of all, he could just be talking about the gameplay and how he doesn't like it that much.

Anyways I do agree that it's hard to improve much on Gears1's gameplay. However it does look brighter and it seems though they added another color and it looks more action packed than the first one.
