All of you people, "Yea I went there" Need to open your eyes... I guess you have just forgot how when Gears Of War first came out it was like every other huge game, COD4, GTA IV, BioShock, it was everywhere, I went to a concert and they had 3 xbox's with 60" tv's letting people play it and only it, the game was great, and if you can't see that, then go poke your eyes out...
GoW is and has been pushing the limits further than any other game, the graphics, and the horrific style of death in the game is unlike any other..
Just reading through this thread has got me wanting to play Gears really bad, can't wait to get off work, get some Co-op goin... been ages sense I played...
haters, If you don't like the game then "GTFO? I don't go into game threads I purposely don't play or like, and slander their game in their threads...
Atfirst when saw the GoW2 footage I thought it looked almost exactly the same, but thats because I haven't played GoW in so long, but after seeing this comparason it looks beautiful, I can't wait for this game...

Yeah me too...when I first downloaded the trailer from xbox marketplace the graphics looked pretty much the same. but still you can't compare without seeing the finished product for yourself!

Um I think a lot of people think the game was overrated (including me) because other than the fantastic graphics and brutal kills, what else is impressive? The campaign? The story? The online? I think the game is extremely fun to play (especially with co-op), but it got overrated for it's great graphics. But then again it could also be that I don't like TPS that much in general so I think like this.

And for anyone who still hasn't seen the leaked footage:

I have to admit, I was fairly dissapointed when I saw this, it looks just like Gears 1 but with a few new executions and obviously, the map. The animations were exactly the same as Gears 1 and graphically, it supposedly has better contrast than the previous one but so what? It still looks basically the same.
HOWEVER, it will still be totally awesome, and i'm seeing this more as what Gears 1 should've been. You have to remember as well that this is not the final product, so there is still improvements to be made.

Wow! When I played Gears of War I used to think "how could a game ever have better graphics than this?" No I'm thinking "how can a game have better graphics than Gears of War 2?

So I'm playing Gears campaign again at my friends house co-op. For some reason I'm having a lot more fun this time around than last time I played it.
