^I think the fact that you are VULNERABLE during the entire act will decrease the overall number of chainsaws.

My only question is... who wins the duel? The person who hits B the fastest, or the person who starts hitting it first? How will they take into account latency/lag, etc?

I hope they have checks and balances in place for latency, etc. Kinda like Halo3 has a 3 frame response time to compensate for someone being off-host so that everyone has the same chance. This was the big melee fix a while back, but I hope they have something like that so it works properly.

In an interview/preview they said its the one who pushes it fastest. I dont think winning because you hit it first makes much sense, it would defeat the purpose of tapping the button. But as it shows in the video even (with the logo on-screen), its about the speed of the tapping, plus Im almost certain they confirmed that.

Keep in mind that the person with a better connection plays a huge role in who wins the duel. Just like Energy Sword clashing and the melee in Halo 3.

Surely they can figure out a way to compensate. Im sure the tapping method is far more reliable than the method used for sword clashing. With sword clashing it depends on which connection responds fastest, but maybe with the duel they could determine the winner by gathering the information as a chunk (because while dueling its not like the games going to need to respond immediately, it has time to calculate) to determine which response has the lowest time between taps.

I dont know if that would actually work, but Im just saying Im sure compensating for latency will be easier with chainsaw dueling than it was for energy sword clashing.
