i want a party system, but not matchmaking. However if they do decide to go with matchmaking i wont be like devastated, i would just rather pick my game.

I think that they should go with both. I mean you should be able to just jump into any random game when thats what you want to do. Or if you want to look for a certain map then you should be able to do so. And if thier going to have map and gun achievements like the first one then matchmaking could ruin alot of opportunity to get these.

I think the party system as the fact you can join the same game as your friend w/o searching for 5 mins to find their game, but I wanna choose the map I play.

It seems like this really was a bad time for my 360 to break, you and a bunch of others are setting up gears matches, and my friend is having a LAN tommorrow night but i have no 360!
Eh at least it didnt break when gears 2 is out. knock on wood.

i've always prefered it when it makes a list of servers instead, even tho gears is the only game i can think of that even does this.. but u make a good point about people picking the same maps
hopefully it'll have a good set of playlist
hey tufo ur a big halo fan, im so glad they finally added a swat playlist, but when they first added it on double exp i could play it split screen with my m8, but now its just on the normal playlist, it wont let me do it split screen anymore, is this becuz its a ranked playlist? do u no if theyre gonna make a non ranked swat for people to play split screen on? off topic sorry :P

If you play Battlefield 2 on 360. You'll find that 99% Of the time it is the same map over and over again. And, I for one, hate that particular map.
Without Matchmaking, Everyone will find a map their good at/ Glitches/ Camping/ Or achievment hunting, And just keep choosing it.
Rotation is the better idea imo.

I don't feel like reading everyone's post so don't be mad if this has already been answered.
Does that mean Host Advantage and all that shit will be gone? Also choosing ur own maps? Weapon Swap?
The reason I like GOW Multiplayer so much is because I hate Matchmaking type stuff.
