Party system will make this game much more competitive and, in turn, make it a better overall game. As of now, I like to choose my maps because I want to pick a map that will benefit 1 player playing by himself. In ranked, you cannot rely on your teammates so I need to pick a map where I can play and do well by myself. Hopefully this party system will increase the competitiveness in each map because then I will definitely play it every single day.

Matchmaking is good, because it doesn't put you in rooms with fuckin veterans of the game. In Call of Duty 4, I am put with people on prestige, maybe multiple prestige. It is annoying, because obviously they are good players and know the game, while some people are noobs. With matchmaking, everything is good.

You should know how console gaming works, the host will always have about 50-150ms advantage over the rest of the players.
No dedicated servers= host advantage
IMO matchmaking is the way to go. It allows your friends to EASILY play together and means you wont get bored of any map. Try getting 8 people together on one team with a lobby system. NOOBS!

matchmaking is dogshit id much rather pick my own game tufo is obv a fanboy of matchmaking  it may work for halo but gears is gears *waits for hail of abuse from him*.  |

another reason why I don't want matchmaking is because I like picking my own team. I only play on COG. Whenever I'm on Locust I forget and start shooting my own team and they get pissed at me for not paying attention.
