New Gametype Idea

The one problem with Gears was that once the game started everyone switched to there shotgun right away cause it was the weapon of choice. But having a gametype that gave people classes and duties would eliminate 5 guys running around with shotguns. Making cover almost useless cause everyone was running and gunning.

Proposal: Each person begun with a different weapon (either random you choose). A sniper, shotgun, 2 lancers, and either a boomshot or Torque Bow.

This would give people duties instead of everyone running around going crazy and a 4 on 4 shotgun fest. Of course you would have an alternate weapon like a Hammerburst or Pistol.

Dont know what to call it yet... Thinking along the lines of Assult or something. Dont know, names no important at this stage.

eh, it is a good raw idea, but how the gametype would actually play out would need to be refined.

Of course you'd have to figure that stuff out. But its the concept I like. GOW sucked when everyone was running around with shotguns. Made the game un-fun.

I sure hope GoW2 has some deep customization for custom matches. Kinda like H3 how you can change ever single little thing... if they did something like that, I would be making some CRAZY gametypes like this one! This is cool.

This would make it more squad based and team work would be a must. Instead of the old, 'who can die first' style.

dont get defensive i like the idea, my favourite gametype was warzone, i enjoyed the shotguns,
but for those who dont like it it's not a bad idea

oh right, well yea i wouldnt play it :P i like the whole shotgun battle thats what i love about the game
