Epic should of never axed G1's multiplayer lobby, they should of gave us a choice to either do matchmaking or use the original lobby.

Yea, I played all day yesterday since the update and MM is still sloooow. I still waited 5-10 minutes for a game. If it wasn't for Horde Mode and BOTS then I would have stopped playing this game after I beat the campaign. They need to adopt Halo's MM system. In Halo, it finds all the players and THEN sorts them into teams based on who's in the same party... Gears find all your team mates then tries to find an opposing team. I think that is what takes so long. idk tho. it might be different.

You people need to start checking your connections, and not blame the game. I played all weekend and the Matchmaking was incredibly fast. With whatever # of teammates we had. 2, 3, 4, and 5 teamates, got into matches within 1 min.

MrSchmo, I'm pretty sure it's not entirely a connection problem considering this problem is in the masses, if you're not experiencing this problem then you're one of the lucky ones. Epic has already announced that this is an issue and have already released one fix and said there will be more to come concerning the Matchmaking lobby. So far, I've only heard 1 or 2 people who haven't had issues, that's not a good ratio in my books.

Within a minute? Sorry, I'm way too impatient. I loved G1 where if I just need to get on an play a quick match, I'm on within 15 to 30 seconds if that long and I'm off playing. With G2, I've tried many times and 95% of the time, I sit there and wait, go make a coffee, take a shower and still no go.

Yes, I've check my connection, did the Live test all is good, my net connection is good, I've even static ip'd my 360 and DMZ'd that IP on my router and it's not wireless, it's wired. Other then performing voodoo and doing the rain dance MrSchmo, I'm pretty sure I've exercised all my options.

Not to mention, why is it that I have both PS3 and 360 and every online game I have for both of those systems I do not have any connection issues? So I doubt it's my connection.

The only reason you think its in the masses... is cause only the people who it doesnt work for complain. The people who do are off playing the game. People dont sign up/ log on to forum to say "Hey, just wanted to let you know my game works great, thank you."

Maybe its people's location or the time they go on??? I just tried to go on at lunch. It was 1.30Pm here in scotland & it just wouldn't find a bloody match. There didn't seem to be any difference for me than there was before the patch.

I was trying to get into a execution match. Then when i just went for a players choice i got in within a few minutes.

Agree MrSchmo, but at the same time, people do read this forum and respond to the ones who do have the problem with their experience such as yourself. So far, I haven't heard much positives with Matchmaking lobby.

Again, as I said, I can only narrow down the problem that it's not my connection because I'm not having any connection issues with other games and their multiplayer. If you can explain that to me, then I'm with you all the way

Only want the Matchmaking to be fixed.

I cant explain it but it does happen. My brother can play fine on GoW but cannot connect with Halo.
