Why is it called "Gears of War" ?
I had this game but never finished it... but I was thinking about it and was wondering what the significance of the name is?

well the C.O.G is like the ARMY, and it stands for Coalition of Ordered Governments and like the army they call there fighters soliders but the C.O.G call there soilders the Gears and they are in a war... Hints the name Gears of War... but aside from all that its just a bad ass name

Gears is the na,e of the soldiers in the Coalition, and the war part probably means that they are like the elites in warfare. Something like that.
