Ok flame on. I got to play the 360 version earlier and I just got done playing my ps3 version. Needless to say they are identical from what I saw. But I have some problems with this game. (Here comes the hater I know)
First I'll comment on the graphics. I understand that I'll hear a lot of "GTA was never about graphics" and I will shrug those off but what the fuck happened? Since when were all these jaggies, horrible draw distance, and craptacular visuals acceptable. I wonder if they ever played Saints Row. Somehow SR managed to have very crisp visuals, minimal jaggies and well, overall a nicely detailed city even up close. GTA is muddy and the textures are average at best. The worst part is, is that they tried hiding all this behind a heat wave filter if you will, and made it look even worse. Also mind you I am playing it at 1080p. The damn light poles look like lightning bolts. Bah.
Also they managed to screw up the camera angle while driving. I don't know about you but I enjoy seeing whats in front of me while I drive. Huge turn off and I almost prefer just hoofing it around town instead. But that is even annoying because even at a slow walk, Niko has to tilt his whole body to turn. I don't know about you, but I don't tilt at a 35 degree angle to make a casual turn.
Otherwise its a good game. I haven't played it enough to really get into it. Voice acting blows dick, but the story seems like it will progress nicely. I'm glad I have it and glad I didn't wait out in line for it! Oh well, I'll play more tomorrow night.

I refuse to light you up Chuck, because I agree with everything you said. The controls are shit IMO, and Saint's Row really were better.

Yeah, anyone pretty much.
I don't know, maybe your TV settings need changing? Personally I don't feel the graphics are off the chart, but for the detail and size of the game I'm more than satisfied with them.

heh i liked it, like how sa started and the cell phone things wicked. iv only tried the free roam and the terrortorie wars one so far on mp
i dont see any problem with the controlers, took me about 5 mins to get used to the way it controlls and i fookin love the way the cars handel

gotta agree with Andrew all Ive had for like six missions is a knife I got on like the third mission. But fists are fun because of the counters.
