Availability
I was just wondering, for those who are buying the game in the US and did not preorder how was availability on the first day? I didn't get to try today, but I'm not exactly going to die if I don't get to play it ASAP.
I was going to call a couple stores tomorrow, was just wondering if everywhere is sold out or if US stores managed to keep up with demand? Anyone with insight?

i called FYE at 09:00 and they had one left. i put that on reserve and got it an hour later. but i got lucky.but as far as other stores goes. like gamestop and stuff, theyy had only a few left but were only the collectors addition with the safe and dufflebag and all which cost about 90 bucks.

According to my mate who pre-ordered at HMV last friday, when he went to pick his up there were loads left.

Ok, from what I could tell this game is not hard to get. I walked right in to my local Best Buy yesterday at about 6:30pm and got a copy no problem, as did my friend who preordered there.
There really is no reason for a game to sell out since they are so easy to make. I'm just glad it seems like the rumors were unfounded.
As a side note, I used the BestBuy.com order online and pick up at the store feature and it was nice. When I ordered it told me the item was in stock, then 15 minutes later I get an e-mail saying it's ready for pick-up and will be held for 8 days. That seems almost better than a pre-order! And, on most items (ie not large TVs) if you don't have your stuff within 1 minute of giving them the order #, you get a $10 gift card... Wish they had been slower, I could use a new battery pack for my controller.

My local blockbuster has like 30 or so for sale. Target had a shelf full yesterday. I'm sure you can find it.
