GTA4 Multiplayer Connecting Problems, Solved [For 360]

Ok, so I was having the same problem most of you are experiencing;

"GTA4 won't let me connect to multiplayer games... ARGHH!!"

You get a little popup saying "Game not in session... blah blah blah"

So, I did a little research and some testing and found this guide:

Xbox360 Port Forwarding -=DigiTaL=-

Yes, it is another portforward, even if you have portforwarded your 360 before, this works.

i didnt use the exact guide but a very similar one and it worked like a champ.
it also solved my problems connecting with some friends, and my nat was always open as well.

It's really not all that complicated, I completed in less than 5 minutes.

Like many, I've been having trouble joining a multiplayer GTA 4 game with other, specific user(s). I was getting a session error or something another and it seemed that a lot of people were having the same trouble. Despite my "Open" NAT, I decided to follow the tutorial that was linked from this thread for Port Forwarding.

Everything was fine until I got to the 2nd step and when the tutorial skips over the steps for setting up Port Forwarding with a Linksys router and jumps to the steps for D-Link routers. Can anyone help walk me through the specific steps for setting up Port Forwarding on my Linksys WRT54G router??

This is Network Information I was using per the tutorial:

* Linksys IP Address : 192.168.1.250
* Subnet Mask : 255.255.255.0
* Gateway : 192.168.1.1
* DNS : 192.168.1.1

I am able to log into my router settings, but then don't know how to set up Port Fowarding. SOMEONE HELP, PLEASE!!

I had to reset my Network and DNS settings back to automatic so that my NAT will show as "Open." When I did the manual settings on my Xbox per the tutorial, my NAT was "Strict" and remained "Strict" after I finished trying to set up Port Fowarding using the D-Link instructions on my Linksys router.
