Ok, I gotta know. I think I might have found one of the main things cut from the Aussie version, but I have to verify that it's in other versions.

It is impossible to kill civilians and police! You shoot them in the head and their health status goes empty, they fall to the ground. They wriggle around and moan for a bit, then they get up and slowly limp away from the fight.
WHAT THE HELL???

Where the big pools of blood?
Where's the action to stomp on their heads once they're on the ground?
Since when has killing someone become just hurting someone?

Without giving away any spoilers, there was a mission where I had to chase down a guy. He got mates from his little gang and it turned into a fight of about 8 against me. Red dots for each gang member I had to kill.
Every time I killed a member, the red dot disappeared as if he died. But up he got and staggered off out of the fight saying "I give up".
WHAT THE HELL???

Please tell me the USA version doesn't do this.

Yea, if you shoot someone in the head that is close up their blood splatters everywhere...if you are close enough, blood splatters on your screen.

Doesn't suck for me so much. I have my US copy in the post. I got the Aussie version purely to entertain me over the weekend until my copy comes in on Thursday. Then I sell my Aussie copy for $50 to Benniemc.

There are sprays of blood and stuff, and quite often the people are laying there long enough for you to assume they're dead. It's only when you hang around for a long time that you see them get up again.

But it's not the same as when GTA had it's trademark big pool of blood!
