We hear about Euphoria, what about the incredible vehicle damage physics!
in playing this game for many, many hours it suddenly struck me when i slammed into a pole and the front of my car was bent in severely in the exact place the pole had hit- this isn't pre-rended damage!
in fact the cars actually contort based on how they are hit. i took this crappy cell phone picture of a severely damaged police car which had been hit with a firetruck (see attached). i damaged a sportscar even more, and continued to drive it! the wheels were both bent almost up to the windshield and were at weird angles, which actually made the car really slow and hard to drive (the car would steer right automatically).
that means the physics of the wheels in their new RANDOM positions determined how the car would handle! think about how amazing and almost magical that is. no game has blown my mind with ground-breaking physics like this since half-life 2.

I need my videogames, tv, and good eatings. This is how we live here in the states. I am physically very strong but obviously that is not the kind of strength that is required.

i think some of you guys don't get what i'm saying... this has nothing to do with flying through the windshield. that's a nice touch, but nothing special (flatout did it on xbox years ago).
i have never played a game with spontaneously generated vehicle damage before. this is amazing stuff... i am surprised people aren't squealing in delight over it like they are with euphoria.
are there any other games where vehicles take realistic damage based on a physics engine like this? am i missing something or is this another revolutionary technological leap?

I noticed that about the cop car when I was playin cops and crooks today. I was driving the cop car and I crashed really hard into a wall and the car wasnt driving right cuz the wheels were bent.

i've had it happen to me at least 10 times. maybe you're just such a good driver you don't bend your wheels?
others, BIazed4Life420 for example have clearly experienced the same thing. it doesn't happen that often, but it does happen (especially in really bad crashes like flying off a bridge and hitting a wall). and did you look at the position of the left front wheel of that cop car in the picture i uploaded?! that is definitely not where that wheel should be. it's bent, severely.
last night i was driving a car with both front wheels smashed almost up to the windshield, both facing completely different directions. the car could only turn right and was very slow.

Well I do sometimes notice that newer cars control better than the same car beaten to hell. I have noticed that the damage isn't pre-determined and your car gets damaged appropriately to where it gets hit. To have this apply to all the cars in Liberty City is just groundbreaking impressive.
